Honey Badger Wharncleaver Folding Knife – HB1168

Meet the Honey Badger HB1168 Wharncleaver: a compact powerhouse designed to tackle daily tasks with ferocious confidence. Engineered in Johannesburg, South Africa, this tan folding knife blends rugged reliability with sleek, pocket-ready convenience. From urban adventures to wilderness expeditions, the Wharncleaver transforms every cutting job into a satisfying experience—effortless, precise, and utterly dependable.

What sets the Wharncleaver apart is its ultra-smooth opening and closing action. Two opposing roller bearings, housing a total of 18 ball bearings, ensure every deployment is whisper-quiet and frictionless. Flick it open in an instant or fold it shut with a reassuring click—either way, you’ll marvel at how seamlessly this blade responds to your command, making every use a genuine pleasure.

The heart of this knife is its Wharncliffe-style D2 steel blade. Renowned for exceptional hardness and edge retention, D2 steel carves through tough materials with minimal effort and holds its razor-sharp edge longer. Whether you’re slicing cardboard, cutting paracord, or preparing kindling, the Wharncleaver delivers clean, controlled cuts time after time. A precision-ground bevel enhances slicing performance, while a tough, corrosion-resistant finish keeps the blade looking sharp, even after rugged use.

Comfort meets control in the ergonomically sculpted FRN (Fibre Reinforced Nylon) handle. Its honeycomb pattern offers multi-directional traction, ensuring a secure grip even in wet or slippery conditions. Thoughtfully placed choils and handle slabs prevent pinching and hotspots during extended use, while a subtle finger guard provides added safety without compromising agility. At just 70 grams, the handle feels feather-light in your pocket yet rock-solid in your hand.

Measuring 16.6 cm overall with a 7.1 cm blade, the Wharncleaver strikes the perfect balance between compact convenience and cutting power. When closed, it slips unobtrusively into your pocket at 9.4 cm long, so it’s always at the ready. A reversible pocket clip lets you carry tip-up on either side, catering to both left- and right-handed users.

Backed by Honey Badger’s commitment to quality and friendly customer service, the HB1168 Wharncleaver offers outstanding performance at an unbeatable price.
